The nuclear med tech exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly and is skilled in the area of Nuclear Medicine.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years in Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current registry or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), in Nuclear Medicine, or the CNMT. Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license. REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
