The Medical Assistant will prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, and maintain examination areas with adequate supplies. They will also assist with procedures, administer injections, and manage patient records using electronic health record systems.

Our busy women’s health clinic is searching for a rockstar MA who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves caring for patients through every stage of life, and understands that kindness and efficiency can absolutely coexist.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity working on-site at either our 10 Coburg or Chase Gardens location, both in Eugene, OR. The position has an expectation of 32-40hrs per week and we are proud to offer a great benefits package. Our Medical Assistant (non-certified) pay range is $19.80 - $23.86 and a Certified Medical Assistant is $21.83 – 26.31.

What will you do

Prepares patient for examinations, procedures, and treatments by obtaining vital signs; obtaining, evaluating, and recording patient history; and updating medication and immunization records. Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas, ensuring adequate inventories of supplies and equipment to maintain efficient patient flow. Assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepare and administer injections and immunizations as directed by physician/provider. Receives, organizes, prioritizes, stores, and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology. Collects and process specimens, screen and follow up on test results. Performs CLIA-waived tests. Performs instrument sterilization. Assists with maintaining medical supplies and onsite inventory. Maintains and updates patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Requirements

What do you need to bring to the role: Education/Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical support experience with experience in obtaining accurate patient vitals, medical injections, and assisting with procedures/NSTs OR a Medical Assistant Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA required. Competencies that matter to us: Business Effectiveness: Advanced knowledge and competence in all skills related to the performance of patient care.
