Responsibilities

Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions
Develop and implement treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals
Assist residents with exercises and activities to improve their strength, mobility, and coordination
Teach residents how to use adaptive equipment and assistive technology to perform daily activities
Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Document residents' progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals
Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents and their families

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
State licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Experience working in a skilled nursing facility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Requirements

Candidates must hold an associate's degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program and possess current state licensure. Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is required along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
