The Registered Nurse will deliver comprehensive, high-quality patient care by performing critical assessments and executing skilled surgical procedures. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain efficient operating room workflows.

Where You’ll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region.

It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento.

Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and a robust robotic surgery program.

In addition, the hospital’s network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living.

Utilizes the nursing process for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care Multi-tasks, organizes, and prioritizes patient care utilizing an efficient, concise and goal outcome process Performs case preparation and intra-operative case execution for department needs Anticipates preparation of cases and needs to enhance the efficiency of the team effort, i.e. punctual case start times, accurate and timely preparation of cases (instruments, supplies and equipment) and eliminates predictable case delays Performs documentation on unit and patient records that is timely, accurate and concise Initiates and investigates needed repairs, missing equipment, supplies and other pertinent areas and follows through to ensure resolution Job Requirements Required Associates Other Nursing and One year OR and/or CSOR experience within the last two years in acute care hospital 2 years recent circulating experience in outpatient surgery center.

If it can be supported operationally, training may be offered to applicants having 2 years recent acute care experience in Critical Care/ER.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate degree in Nursing and possess at least one year of OR or CSOR experience in an acute care setting. Current California RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required upon hire.
