About the role

Assess and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist Rome Health is rapidly expanding and is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team.

This position provides the opportunity to work with patients across a variety of care settings, including inpatient acute care, sub-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and outpatient therapy.

Optional weekend on-call coverage is also available for per diem staff.

Key Responsibilities Assess patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments and clinical evaluation.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Provide therapy to improve speech production, articulation, voice quality, and overall communication.

Assist patients in improving reading and writing skills when appropriate.

Develop and implement therapeutic exercises to improve swallowing function and strengthen muscles involved in swallowing.

Educate and counsel patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders and appropriate coping strategies.

Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress, and changes to treatment plans.

Complete final evaluations and discharge documentation when patients complete therapy.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology - Required Experience Completion of an accredited degree program in Speech-Language Pathology - Required 2–3 years of experience preferred Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, long-term care, or outpatient settings is a plus.
