Your role as a first assist surgical scrub technologist
As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting surgeons and the patient care team. From preparing surgical instruments to assisting in advanced procedures, you’ll help ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
✔️ Intraoperative assistance, including providing surgical site exposure, handling tissue, and wound management. ✔️ Postoperative patient management, including breaking down the OR and processing surgical instruments. ✔️ Maintain a safe and sterile environment through instrument preparation and assembly. ✔️ Assist the RN with circulating duties, transporting patients, and specimen preparation. ✔️ Provide visualization of the surgical site during procedures. ✔️ Perform positioning, prepping, and advanced surgical skills under surgeon guidance. ✔️ Help train and orient new surgical technicians.
