The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders for various patient populations. They also perform technical duties related to the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals across multiple pharmacy function areas.

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia. One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Work Hours: 8AM - 4:30PM Weekend Requirements: No On-Call Requirements: No

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia. A minimum of one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
