Healing Care Animal Hospital Position Overview Healing Care Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients while supporting veterinarians and ensuring a positive experience for clients. The ideal candidate is clinically proficient, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, values teamwork, and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments Safely restrain animals for examinations and procedures Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostic testing Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and dental procedures Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Client Communication & Education Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and at-home care instructions Provide education on preventative care, medications, and post-operative care Support client understanding of recommended diagnostics and treatments Hospital Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgical suites Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and sterilization of equipment Assist with inventory management, including stocking and monitoring medical supplies Support efficient patient flow and teamwork across departments Compliance & Safety Adhere to all hospital protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical waste Maintain a safe and low-stress environment for patients and team members

Qualifications

Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in the state of Michigan (or ability to obtain) Graduate of an accredited veterinary technology program Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, laboratory and dentistry Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in Michigan and be a graduate of an accredited veterinary technology program. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, along with proficiency in anesthesia, laboratory procedures, and dentistry.
