The Radiology/CT Staff Technologist is responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures in the Radiology Department. This includes prioritizing sequence of procedures, completion of actual exam, and following through with all necessary paperwork. They will assist the Lead Technologists and Director of Diagnostic Imaging in the completion of any delegated duties.

Duties: & Responsibilities:
1. Supports the Mission and Vision of RML Specialty Hospital by demonstrating RML's Core Values of Service, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect and Stewardship (STAIRS) in all actions. Promotes a positive patient/customer experience by exemplifying the principles of the Language of Caring in all interactions with patients, families and co-workers.
2. Initiates and completes all Radiology and CT procedures, producing quality images, demonstrates appropriate psychosocial interventions based on age and developmental status.
3. Prepares room, transports patient, and cleans room after completion of exam.
4. Assists with implementation of all policies and procedures.
5. Gives precise information to Radiologist concerning patient’s condition and location of any trauma.
6. Assumes responsibility for own continuing education.
7. Seeks guidance when needed, consulting with Lead Technologist and/or other personnel as needed.
8. Monitors and maintains all equipment in the Radiology/CT Department.
9. Will meet department goals and objectives for budget, clinical quality and patient satisfaction. Works with other departments and staff to achieve hospital and departmental goal and objectives. Identifies and participates in implementation of opportunities for improvement in all aspects of operations.
10. Performs all office duties, such as maintaining logs, records, answering phones QC/QA reports, relaying information between coworkers and ensuring completion before end of shift.
11. Stocks room and put away supplies on a daily basis. Also, informs Lead Technologist of any low stock.
12. Assists with JC/IDPH and annual IEMA surveys.
13. Accepts and completes all additional duties that may be assigned.
14. Must be flexible with scheduling, accepting additional hours and/or different shifts as they may be required. Will be required to float between both campuses as needed.
15. Assistance in Special Procedures as required, including scheduling and proper coding, room preparation, cleaning and packing of trays.
16. Have the physical ability for almost constant standing, walking and lifting, moving patients and patient care equipment and wearing radiation protective devices for long periods of time.
17. Performs EKG testing as required.
18. Exemplifies the RML REACH (Service Excellence) culture by demonstrating respect, excellence, appreciation, concern and honor in all interactions with patients, families and co-workers, and as identified in departmental and hospital wide behavioral expectations.
19. Will rotate through weekend, on-call and holiday schedule as required.
20. Will ensure pager/ in house phones are in good working order and in their possession at start of shift and on-call shift.
21. Will adhere to and ensure compliance with standards of care, standards of practice and policies and procedures of RML Specialty Hospital.
22. Works with in Meditech to enter proper procedure charges.
23. Will communicate in a clear and positive manner with all coworkers on daily basis.
