The Medical Assistant is an important member of the healthcare team at Clinic 1, which features specialties including Gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, and visiting providers. They deliver key administrative and clinical support that keeps the clinic running smoothly and ensures patients receive excellent, compassionate care in collaboration with a medical provider.
Sets up exam and procedure rooms to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients.
Gathers patient history, checks vital signs (such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and height), and updates electronic health records accurately.
Assists with administering vaccinations and other provider-ordered treatments.
May perform blood draws and specimen collection, preparing samples for laboratory processing.
Serves as a first point of contact for patient questions and concerns, offering clear communication and support.
Maintains knowledge of current public health guidelines and clinic protocols.

Candidates should demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic, with preference given to those with Certified or Registered Medical Assistant experience. A current BLS card is required within three months of employment, and bilingual skills in English and Spanish are considered a plus.
