Overview The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The MA will perform clinical and secretarial duties including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical and organizational tasks under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator. The MA must be able to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.
Education required: HS/GED License, Certification and/or Registration: ROT or CCMA certification required by first 90 days of employment Experience: Minimum one-year full-time clinical experience in healthcare preferred Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent, self-starting and highly motivated Strong patient care and interpersonal skills Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history About Us At The Orthopaedic Center, we are proud to be the region’s leading orthopaedic group, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and obtain ROT or CCMA certification within 90 days. At least one year of full-time clinical experience in healthcare is preferred.
