The WIC Educator also supports program outreach and assists with daily clinic operations, including cross- coverage for other WIC staff roles when needed.

DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Program & Participant Services Screen, enroll, certify, transfer, and schedule WIC participants in accordance with federal guidelines. Conduct anthropometric and hematological measurements (height, weight, hemoglobin) and collect health history Determine program eligibility and issue benefits based on assessment and WIC Provide individual and group nutrition education using client-centered counseling Promote and support breastfeeding in alignment with Loving Support model and FNS requirements. Provide guidance on using WIC EBT cards, approved food lists, and breast pump issuance and usage. Maintain accurate documentation in the WIC Management Information System (MIS).

High School Diploma or equivalent; coursework or background in nutrition, health, or medical field preferred. Minimum one year of related experience in health, nutrition, or social Completion of ITCN WIC CPA Training Program within the timeline set by Completion of Loving Support Grow and Glow Breastfeeding Training Program (or willingness to complete within required timeframe). Commitment to breastfeeding promotion and Valid Nevada driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to travel extensively, including overnight Must be at least 21 years of Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and counseling skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
