Primary Responsibilities: Codes ancillary facility encounters such as clinic, recurring accounts, lab, therapy, and radiology Confirms documentation supports code selection and resolves facility edits and Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) impacts Applies International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)/Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes Meets established quality and productivity standards in a production environment You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

  • Certifications: American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) credential (Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Professional Coder-Hospital (CPC-H)) 1+ years of Ancillary experience 1+ years of ICD-10 experience Intermediate level of understanding of National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI)/Medically Unlikely Edits (MUE) basics and facility modifier awareness

The hourly pay for this role will range from $20 - $36 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Requirements
