The Polysomnographic Technologist III provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with sleep disorders, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. They are also responsible for direct patient education and providing oversight to other sleep center staff as assigned.
A Polysomnographic Technologist III works under the general supervision of the medical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A Polysomnographic Technologist III is able to perform the duties defined and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff, as assigned. Minimum Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or Associates Degree in Polysomnography (Sleep Technology) is required. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and Registered as RPSGT with North Carolina Medical Board. 6 to 10 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
