How you’ll contribute The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital Pharmacist plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or disabling conditions. This position provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through medication order verification, clinical drug therapy review, anticoagulation monitoring, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members. The Pharmacist supports medication safety and quality improvement initiatives, supervises pharmacy technicians, and helps optimize patient outcomes by promoting evidence-based medication management. Responsibilities also include maintaining regulatory compliance, managing medication inventory, utilizing pharmacy technology systems, and supporting a patient-centered rehabilitation environment. Programs are designed to help patients recover from a variety of injuries and illnesses, including brain, orthopedic and spinal cord injuries, stroke, neurological conditions, trauma and amputation. Our programs center around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute inpatient rehabilitation facilities differ from other post-acute options, such as skilled nursing facilities, most notably in the amount of quality physical, occupational and speech therapy offered, and medical oversight provided.
