About the role

Operates X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic imaging and assists physicians with patient procedures. Performs laboratory testing, monitors results, and ensures quality while providing compassionate patient care.

Position Summary

Operates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated body parts. Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, film developing for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician physicians as required. Performs laboratory testing, monitors test results, assures test quality and validity; communicates results in a timely manner. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible. Minimum Requirements Must be a High School Graduate (or equivalent) or higher. Must possess a current ARRT registry. American Heart Association BLS certification is required upon hire. Requires at least three months of Radiology work experience, but 1 year of experience is preferred. Clinical support services experience preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Pay Range $24.69 - $35.99

Starting pay in the Outer Banks Hospital/Outer Banks Medical Group market may be higher to reflect local market competitiveness.

Other Information Full-Time 36 hours per week 7:30am - 7:30pm #LI-NM1 ECU Health About The Outer Banks Hospital The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.

The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season.

Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

OBH is fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care.
