As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing services directly in patients’ homes. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional communication, swallowing safety, independence, and quality of life. Assessing communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities Providing skilled speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing interventions Educating patients and caregivers regarding communication strategies, swallowing safety, and appropriate compensatory techniques Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed Collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other members of the care team Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation Home care offers a unique opportunity to get to know your patients and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
