About the role

The therapist will provide clinical care including individual and group therapy, brief interventions, and patient assessments within a multidisciplinary medical clinic. They are also responsible for maintaining clinical documentation and supporting the implementation of new substance use and mental health programs.

This role will be an integral part of our virtual therapy program servicing the state. The contract therapist role will be a part of supporting our orientation to care process for clients. This role will include carrying a small individual case load, face-to-face virtual client hours in orientation, and administration support with COBHRM surveys. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and be a part of developing evidenced based programs in substance use and mental health care.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about addiction treatment and the harm reduction model as well as someone who is interested in a fast paced and flexible medical clinic setting. The therapist will be responsible for screening and referring new patients to care as well as providing some brief individual therapy. Porch Light is seeking an independently licensed therapist with experience providing clinical care. We also value experience developing and implementing new programming.

This position is a unique opportunity to work in the state's largest Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) clinic.

Porch Light Health is a low barrier/high access outpatient medical clinic that treats all substance use disorders.

This position entails working side by side with the medical providers to provide support to our patients.

We have multiple sites, some of which are operated by mobile health units and some are embedded within community partners in rural areas.

Our therapist serve all these sites through telehealth services and in person.

Job duties and requirements as follows

Responsibilities and duties: Assess Patient Needs Coordinate and treatment plan Psychoeducation Individual and group therapy Brief interventions - Motivational Interviewing Work in a fast paced medical clinic Work in an integrated and multidisciplinary setting Keep clinical documentation according to regulatory standards Case management and referral services as needed Support efforts to implement new programs

Hours breakdown

This role is 20-30 hours per week Approximately a third of weekly hours will be supporting Unity entries (expectation is that the therapist completes 8-10 COBHRM surveys per hour)
Remaining times will be utilized for clinical care: this will include carrying a small caseload, but primarily will be an On-Call Support role Qualifications and skills LCSW, LPC, or other independent clinical licensure MSW, LPC Candidates working towards independent licensure Certified Addiction Specialists (CAS) with 3 to 5 years of experience in SUD treatment Clinical experience in the area of SUD preferred, but not required
