Cytogenetics Technologist II, FISH

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of experience performing FISH wet laboratory testing and FISH analysis. Three years performing and interpreting FISH assays on both hematologic (heme) and FFPE specimens. Scientist in Cytogenetics - CG(ASCP) Additional Job Standards In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment Ability to work independently and within a team environment Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot assays, resolve technical issues, and maintain high-quality laboratory performance.
