Damar is currently seeking a Housekeeper to be provide consistent application of the highest health standards, ensuring that all residents reside in a safe, clean and healthy environment and that the building and equipment are maintained in such a manner as to comply with the State Board of Health’s rules and regulations, to ensure the health and safety of residents and employees.

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference: Perform all daily, weekly and monthly duties as per the Housekeeping Cleaning standard operating procedures
Performs weekend duties as assigned: such as laundry, cleaning and stocking Ensure all buildings are maintained in such a manner as to provide the cleanest environment as possible in which residents may live Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas
What you need to be considered: No formal education required Three years of experience in housekeeping in a business or office setting with a minimum of two years’ experience in housekeeping at the same facility preferred Ability to routinely lift 10 to 60 pounds from floor level to overhead in height Must have the ability to maneuver 20 to 100 pounds vertically Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving) Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening Essential Job Functions The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information. The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors. Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.
