Core Competencies Exceptional personal and professional patient welfare Effective Interpersonal communication Accurate diagnosing and delivering of quality care Roles and Responsibilities The Dental Assistant (DA) will provide hands-on support to Dentists and complete the necessary prep work so the patients are efficiently cared for. Their duties include managing schedules, completing intake paperwork and updating patient records, sterilizing and organizing dental tools and assisting during dental procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using standard 4 handed dentistry; including setting up and cleaning up Taking radiographs, impressions, and other diagnostic needs Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment Provide patients with post-operative instructions after procedures Management of doctors' schedule Operatory room inventory Maintenance of dental equipment Provide optimal patient care including care calls Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications and Skills H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 4 handed dentistry dental assisting experience In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA) Open to being cross trained with both general dentistry and dental specialty (Endo, Perio, OS, Ortho and Pedo) Stamina to meet the physical demand of the job Willing to serve the Practice with a flexible schedule Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience working with Dentrix or EagleSoft Software Associate's degree
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in 4-handed dental assisting. Knowledge of health and safety regulations like HIPAA and OSHA is required, with preference given to those with Dentrix or EagleSoft experience and an associate's degree.
