Unit

Team-Based, Interdisciplinary Collaboration- As part of a smaller, close-knit team, effective collaboration is essential—not only among our immediate colleagues but also with the various departments we support. Flexibility, mutual respect, and a strong sense of teamwork are integral to our daily operations, ensuring that we provide the highest level of care and service to patients and staff alike. Being part of a hospital setting means we work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals. This integrated approach allows us to directly contribute to patient care and outcomes, making our work both meaningful and rewarding. Departments like OR, Acute surgery Center, Fluoroscopy, and ED.

  • Job
  • Summary: At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology and operates imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives. Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary.

  • Experience
  • DESCRIPTION: One year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
  • Education
  • DESCRIPTION: Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. An additional 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred but not required.
  • SPECIAL
  • SKILLS
  • DESCRIPTION: Self-motivated; ability to organize and prioritize well; ability to remain flexible and to reorganize priorities when emergencies arise.
  • Licensure
  • DESCRIPTION: ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold current ARRT and State of WI licensure. One year of clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred, along with BLS certification.
