We are a busy, physician-owned Gastroenterology practice with 33 providers dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As our practice continues to grow, including the addition of new providers and expanded procedure capacity, we are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented team members to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy caring for patients throughout the procedural experience while working in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Our Endoscopy Center specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, delivered in a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment.

Position Summary

The Endoscopy Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout all phases of their endoscopic procedure, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery. Working closely with physicians and fellow clinical team members, this role helps ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, prepare, and educate patients prior to endoscopic procedures.

Assist physicians during colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and other gastrointestinal procedures.

Monitor patient status and safety before, during, and after sedation.

Provide post-procedure recovery care and patient discharge education.

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient procedural workflows.

Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Maintain a positive, patient-focused environment that promotes exceptional care and service.

Qualifications

Required

Current RN license.

Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment.

Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment.

Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

Previous endoscopy, procedural, ambulatory surgery, critical care, or recovery nursing experience.

Gastroenterology experience.

Experience monitoring patients receiving moderate sedation.

Requirements
