The Radiology Tech performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. The Radiology Tech exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. The Radiology tech is multi-skilled in the use of O.R. procedures and equipment.
Minimum education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Preferred education: Associate degree
Possession of current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license. Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, in Radiography or registry eligible. Must have ARRT within one year post graduation of accredited school.
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold a current Texas Medical Board license. Possession of or eligibility for ARRT certification and active BLS certification are required.
