Range: $21.00 Hourly Direct Support Professional (DSP) We are seeking Part-time DSP's for our Float Team with Weekend Availability Float Team Position Description Our Float Team provides essential staffing support across our services by filling open shifts and helping ensure continuity of care for the people we support. This role is ideal for someone who values flexibility and is comfortable working with different clients and teams.

Requirements: Must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week; one weekend shift and one weekday shift each week. Float Team members must maintain reliable availability and be prepared to accept shifts based on organizational needs. Members are expected to respond to communications from management within a reasonable timeframe regarding their availability to pick up a shift that has come available. Flexibility is important, as shifts and locations may vary based on staffing needs. The Float Team is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy variety, are dependable, and want the flexibility of working across different programs while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’re more than a caregiver—you’re a mentor, coach, and advocate who helps the people we support learn skills, make choices, and live as independently as possible. What Does a DSP Do? You’ll work hands-on with individuals to support their everyday lives and personal goals.
Your day may include: Teaching and supporting independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and personal hygiene. Helping individuals build confidence and independence through hands-on learning and encouragement. Getting out into the community—visiting local businesses, participating in activities, exploring new places, and supporting individuals in becoming active, valued members of their communities. Supporting employment, household, and personal goals. Providing medication and behavioral support as required. Working as part of a team to plan, communicate, and advocate for the individuals we support. What Does It Take to Be Successful? Passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them build greater independence and become valued members of their communities. A genuine commitment to the people we support and the mission of The Arc of the Ozarks is essential. You don't need years of experience to make a difference.
Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be dependable, patient, and willing to complete required certifications including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration.
