About the Role

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating under supervision.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Support mobility and exercise routines to promote residents’ physical well-being.
• Participate in training sessions and complete assigned coursework to develop nursing assistant competencies.

Skills

• The Nursing Assistant (Trainee) will utilize communication skills daily to interact compassionately with residents and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Attention to detail is essential when observing and reporting changes in residents’ health status to ensure timely interventions.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity are required to assist with mobility and personal care tasks safely.
• The trainee will develop organizational skills by managing time efficiently between caregiving duties and training requirements.
• Additionally, learning technical skills such as documentation and infection control procedures will be integral to providing high-quality care and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
