Facilitate evidence-based group therapy and psychoeducational sessions aligned with ASAM criteria Assess client progress and document session notes, treatment updates, and behavioral observations Develop and implement individualized and group treatment plans in accordance with ASAM levels of care Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured group environment conducive to recovery Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and outside agencies to coordinate client care Monitor client compliance with program requirements and report concerns to supervisory staff Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
Experience facilitating substance use disorder (SUD) or behavioral health group sessions Familiarity with ASAM criteria and levels of care for substance use treatment Active licensure or certification in counseling, social work, or a related field (CSAC, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent preferred) Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with clients in recovery Must pass required background checks in compliance with Virginia state regulations About Us: Because We Care II Inc is a trusted behavioral health and substance use treatment provider serving the Norfolk, VA community with compassion and commitment.
