Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech: Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies.
Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.

Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program High School diploma or GED BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements: One year of Surgical Technology experience Certified Surgical Technologist through the NBSTSA or NCCT
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Certified Surgical Technology program and hold a high school diploma or GED. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, and professional certification through NBSTSA or NCCT is preferred.
