Role Overview As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform specialized breast imaging procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist, aiding in the diagnosis and evaluation of pathological conditions. Your expertise will directly support physicians and patients, playing a critical role in early detection and treatment. This position is vital to ensuring accurate and compassionate patient care within our Radiology department. What You Will Do Perform Radiologic breast imaging procedures as ordered by physicians. Utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning. Ensure adherence to safety practices and department protocols. Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and other regulatory requirements. Complete required continuing medical education to stay current with industry standards. What You Will Need Required Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible). If registry eligible, must obtain within 12 months of hire.
Prior experience in mammography or breast imaging. Familiarity with MQSA and regulatory compliance.
