This role involves providing service excellence to patients and staff while performing essential room maintenance, equipment preparation, and high-level disinfection of medical instruments used in the endoscopy department. The aide must also adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and participate in team collaboration for quality patient care.
Candidates must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to communicate in English, with Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days. Essential experience includes being a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting or having one year of current experience (within the last three years) reprocessing flexible endoscopes.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (BLS) - Basic Life Support certification (obtain within 90 days of position start, offered within) Basic computer skills. Perform other work-related duties as assigned or requested. Must be a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting or have one (1) year current experience (within the past three (3) years) reprocessing flexible endoscopes. Proficient in the decontamination and disinfection of endoscopic equipment (obtained with six (6) months) Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Certification through CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) (obtain within six (6) months)
