The Surgical Technologist prepares and organizes the operating room, assists surgeons during procedures, and maintains a sterile environment. They also participate in the cleanup of rooms and monitor instruments and supplies.
Candidates must be high school graduates and graduates of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program. Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is preferred.
OPTIM SURGERY CENTER is seeking a full time Surgical Technologist for the Savannah, GA location.
Prepare and organize the operating room with instrumentation and equipment, assist surgeons during surgical procedure, and maintain a sterile environment
Reports to the Surgical Nurse Manager.
Spupervisory responsibility: None
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.
May be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program. NBSTA Certification as a surgical technologist preferred.
Experience preferred but new grads will be considered.
Certificate/License: Certificate from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting / or eligibility to certify
BLS Certification.
