The role involves assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders in specialized areas like nuclear medicine, oncology, and cardiology. Responsibilities also include serving as a subject matter expert, reviewing orders to resolve drug-related problems, compounding medications, and providing drug information and education.
Candidates must possess a Pharmacist credential from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy before the hire date or job transfer date. A Bachelor's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy is required, and a Pharmacy residency is preferred, along with being an Authorized User with nuclear pharmacy experience.
