The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant functions as a paraprofessional member of the Interdisciplinary team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide assigned services to clients. Responsibilities include meeting the client's personal needs and promoting comfort while adhering to regulations and established best practices in various settings.
Candidates must successfully complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program and hold current certification, or complete a home health aide instruction course and competency testing. Applicants must also demonstrate compatibility with the organization's mission and possess the ability to communicate effectively in English.
The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the Interdisciplinary team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs various services for the client as assigned to meet the client's personal needs and to promote comfort while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices. We provide care in the patient’s home which may be a personal residence, group home, assisted living or skilled nursing setting.
Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in state(s) in which he/she practices OR successful completion of a home health aide instruction course and successful completion of home health aide competency testing to work in Home Care. Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, elder/resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness. Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers. Pay Range The estimated starting pay range for this role is $22.60 - $24.25 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
