The Nurse Practitioner will provide nursing care for acute pain service patients, performing daily rounds and assessments. They will act as a liaison among various healthcare professionals and assist with nerve blocks while maintaining a database for acute pain services.
Candidates must have at least one year of nursing experience and a license from an accredited nursing master's program. They should also possess the necessary computer skills and be able to communicate effectively in English.

1. Utilize the nursing process as the format for nursing practice. 2. Demonstrates flexibility in nursing practice. 3. Adheres to the standards of nursing practice as defined by the Colorado State Board of Nursing, AORN, and VVMC. 4. Provides care consistent with the mission statement and values of Vail Health. 5. Operates within the scope of practice for the position and license held. 6. Administers medication, implements or delegates patient care orders, accurately documents, and evaluates patient responses to care. 7. Participates in ongoing quality improvement as necessary. 8. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. 9. Models principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. 10. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing master's program.
Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
