About the role

Responsible for the daily care of patients and boarders, including feeding, cleaning, and walking dogs and cats. The role also involves monitoring animal well-being and administering medications.

The Animal Care Centers have been Cincinnati's leading provider of veterinary services, pet care, boarding and grooming for over 40 years, with offices in Fairfield, Forest Park and Blue Ash. Our practice has been selected as "Best of Cincinnati" 11 times and has an excellent reputation in the community. Our clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art veterinary technology, including digital radiography, ultrasounds, laser surgical units, cold laser therapy and more.

Kennel Technicians are responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders.

This includes feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing, and monitoring the well being of dogs, cats and, occasionally, other companion animals.

Kennel Technicians must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, the dexterity and confidence to administer medications, and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease.

It is essential that they have the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Kennel experience is not always a prerequisite for this position.

Requirements

Candidates must have the physical strength and stamina to move heavy pets and the ability to monitor animals for signs of distress. While kennel experience is not required, a willingness to learn and provide compassionate care is essential.
