The position assists in the daily operations of the clinical laboratory services by collecting specimens and performing laboratory testing across all areas to support provider diagnoses and disease monitoring. Essential functions include overseeing quality control performance, reviewing maintenance logs, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting with logistical issues like arranging staffing coverage.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology and hold certification as MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent. A minimum of three to five years of laboratory experience in high complexity testing across specialties like microbiology, chemistry, and hematology is required, along with proven technical and leadership skills.

Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services. Essential Functions Performs common testing procedures and reports test results accurately. Conducts instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Performs quality control testing to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintains supplies and equipment necessary for testing. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients. Associate’s Degree in Science required.
