The Cytotechnologist supervises, produces, and performs diagnostic interpretation of all cytological material for cytopathology examinations. This role also involves providing consultation to resolve technical problems encountered during these processes.
Candidates must possess ASCP certification as a registered Cytotechnologist. Additionally, applicants need sufficient experience in clinical laboratory disciplines to qualify for certification under one of the Cytotechnologist (CT) Certifying Agencies’ examination routes.
