The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for evaluating and caring for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient conditions. They also educate patients and families about health conditions and community support options.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience, or an associate's or technical degree. Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and BLS certification are required, with additional certifications preferred.

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
What additional preferences we're seeking 36 hours a week | Nights | Three 12 hour shifts | Every 4th weekend | Every other holiday Registry in Respiratory Therapy (RRT) preferred. 3 years adult critical care experience preferred. Arterial line and intubation competence preferred. Must be willing to train in placement of advanced lines (ie arterial, mid-line /PICC) insertions needed
