The Technologist Aid assists the MRI Technologist with daily operations, including patient screening, history collection, assisting with patient transfers and positioning, and managing room stocking under the supervision of the MRI Supervisor or Lead Technologist.
Minimum requirements include a High School diploma, with preference for graduation from an accredited phlebotomy, CNA, or Medical Assistant program, along with hospital experience and general medical terminology knowledge. Candidates must possess excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills, and hold a required Basic Life Support Certification.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School diploma Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant or medical assistant program desired. Hospital experience with a general knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills. Basic Life Support Certification required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Must have excellent communication and organizational skills Must maintain a professional manner and appearance Must be able to work independently as well as in a team Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a healthcare setting Basic knowledge of personal computer (PC) systems, ability to learn basic scheduling software, and work with word processing applications Medical terminology helpful Demonstrated skills in customer service PHYSICAL EFFORT AND ENVIRONMENT Active: Often lifts up to 50 pounds independently. Frequently pushes/pulls 100 pounds. Stands or walks most of the time. Exhibits fine motor skills and manual dexterity necessary to perform the essential job functions of the position. Hazard of radiation exposure, film badge worn to monitor amount of exposure.
