Licensed Practical Nurse to work under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing services and care for individuals residing in Madison Cortland ARC Residential Program.
Oversees the general health and medical management of assigned individuals. This includes follow-up of health-related issues and coordination with physicians, clinicians, family members, and Residential Services Program staff. Provides medical support for residential program; through assisting with arranging and scheduling of appointments, follow-ups as necessary, paperwork, and filing in accordance with the Residential system. Assists R.N. with updating and tracking appointments, lab work and the results thereof. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Valid New York State Licensed Practical Nurses License and at least six months medical experience within the developmental disabilities or public health nursing field.
