Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care to patients and assists with complex patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, providing personal hygiene care, and documenting patient information accurately.
Candidates must be high school graduates or equivalent and demonstrate successful completion of Patient Care Technician competencies. They must also have acquired skills in providing basic care to patients through documented education or training.

To qualify, candidates must pass a required written competency test for certification and be listed on the Illinois Department of Public Health website.
Pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-specific requirements, individual experience, internal pay equity, and organizational needs/budget considerations, all in alignment with our RML's compensation philosophy. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program based on both individual and organizational performance.

Assists professional nurses and respiratory therapists with complex patient care up to the validated level of training. Provides age and developmentally appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients and their families.

This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and is subject to the terms and conditions of the offer. Bonuses will be pro-rated for positions less than full-time (0.9 FTE). Registry positions are not bonus-eligible. Rehires and current employees are not eligible.
