The Therapy Tech will support physical and hand therapists by setting up exercises and equipment, guiding patients through assigned activities under direct supervision, and maintaining clean treatment areas. Primary functions include assisting therapists with patient treatment activities, preparing and cleaning equipment, and performing basic clerical and laundry duties.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate strong communication, customer service abilities, and a focus on patient care. The role requires frequent physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
As a Therapy Tech, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting physical and hand therapists as they care for orthopedic patients. You’ll help set up exercises and equipment, guide patients through therapist‑assigned activities (under direct supervision), and keep treatment areas clean and safe. Primary Functions & Responsibilities: Assists the therapists in activities related to the treatment of individual patients Performs and responds to therapists in accordance with the rules and regulations of the American Physical/Occupational Therapy Associations Assists patients in performing the appropriate exercises assigned by and under direct supervision of the therapist Assists other clinical staff in the performance of their duties as permitted and under the direct supervision of the therapist Responsible for preparing, cleaning, and maintaining exercise equipment. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of shared surfaces and patient care areas.
