The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care within an ambulatory setting, addressing the comprehensive needs of a diverse patient population. This involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement appropriate nursing interventions and patient education aligned with the overall plan of care.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN, diploma, or BSN) and hold a current Indiana RN license or an active RN license from another state with endorsement in progress. A minimum of six months of recent experience in an ambulatory care setting and CPR certification are preferred or required.

Addresses total comprehensive needs of patients and oversees the delivery of care to a large diverse patient population. The RN initiates appropriate nursing interventions and education in conjunction with the physician’s or professional healthcare provider’s comprehensive patient plan of care. Serves in a lead role for Office Level 1 RNs, LPNs and Medical Assistants and performs clinical supportive tasks to facilitate patient coordination of care and enhance work efficiencies for physicians and providers. JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing (ADN, diploma, BSN) Licensure: RN Indiana license or licensed in another state having requested endorsement in Indiana. CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days.
A minimum of six months current experience in the ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience in various clinical areas is preferred. May need to occasionally travel to other SJPN locations within the three-county area.
