The Radiologic Technologist operates x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety while also performing medical assistant functions like managing patient flow and room turnover for outpatient exams. Duties include positioning patients, setting exposure factors, archiving images to PACS, tracking exams in the RIS, and assisting physicians with clinical procedures and documentation.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited diagnostic radiography program and must obtain ARRT certification in Radiography within six months of hire if a student. A current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging license and a valid OHSU approved Basic Life Support CPR card are mandatory requirements for this role.
CMA Certified from an accredited program. 1 Year Radiologic Technologist Experience. Additional Details This position covers all days and all shifts as needed. This position works in a busy environment with frequent interruptions, multiple demands and continuous interaction with patients and other medical professionals. It requires being exposed to radiation, chemical solutions, and human tissue/fluids. Location is at OHSU outpatient clinics, which include the Beaverton, Center for Health and Healing Orthopedics/Spine, and OHSU Adventist Orthopedics. Why apply to OHSU?
