The Program Assistant is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring all nonclinical operations of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, while also handling receptionist duties such as triaging calls and coordinating communication.
Candidates must successfully complete an Accredited Medical Assistant program along with obtaining a High School diploma or GED equivalent, and possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and multiple phone line systems. Experience in an outpatient mental health setting is preferred.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Assistant is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring all nonclinical operations of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team along with providing receptionist activities including triaging calls, coordinating communication between the team and clients, deescalating situations with clients who have increasing symptoms, and providing assistance to clients, their families, and other agencies.
Secondary Duties Maintain positive professional relationships with appropriate community figures, referral sources, and other professionals. Establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Demonstrate familiarity with and adherence to Utah laws regarding confidentiality and mandatory reporting requirements. Perform other functions as necessary or assigned.
