The MRI Technologist performs specialized imaging procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, educating patients, and maintaining accurate documentation of all imaging data.
Candidates must hold an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or a hospital certificate and possess or be eligible for NYS licensure. Required certifications include ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification and BLS, with a requirement to obtain NYS injection certification within six months.
Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while monitoring and maintaining essential patient safety under general supervision Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the MRI area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam Documentation. Transfer imaging data for archiving and post-data processing; maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology hospital certificate program. ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R) is required within 6 months of employment. NYS license in Radiologic Technology required, OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire. NYS Injection Certification within 6 months of employment. If hired on or before September 13, 2021, a NYS Injection Certification is required by September 1, 2022. BLS Certification within 6 months of employment New Graduates: An official transcript from an accredited school or a letter emailed directly from the school’s registrar’s office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation. Primary source education verification is required within 90 days of graduation.

PAY RANGE: $34.25 - $45.25 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
