The Speech Pathologist assesses, diagnoses, and treats various communication and swallowing disorders by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Key duties include providing therapy, maintaining records, educating patients and families, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders and hold valid state licensure. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP) is preferred, along with knowledge of therapy techniques and assistive devices.
