Candidates must have completed a formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and have previous experience in a hospital setting. Certification in CPR and by the ARRT, along with a state license, are required.

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Job Code: 221 Hours: Monday thru Friday 730am to 400pm EST FTE: 1.0 Weekend Schedule: no Holiday Schedule: rotational Call Schedule: no FLSA Status: Non-exempt Department Name: Radiology Department Code: 7210 Location: Brattleboro, Vermont JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the Chief Radiologist, technologists are responsible for the care and safety of patients radiographic procedures; use of radiographic equipment; maintaining records; assuring appropriate supplies. DEPT SCOPE OF SERVICE: The Department of Radiology at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is a consultative service that will provide services in the following categories: diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, interventional radiography, MRI, bone density and mammography. The department offers services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to inpatients, outpatients and emergency room patients of all ages. Whereas x-ray procedures constitute the majority of our service, we also provide related quality control (including protecting patients and staff from harmful radiation), quality assurance monitoring and evaluation, marketing and continuing education of staff and patients. Radiology is comprises of licensed technologists, certified and licensed nuclear medicine technologists, secretarial staff and licensed radiologists.
Education: Formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
