The Licensed Practical Nurse provides general nursing care and leadership, implementing, delegating, evaluating, documenting, and coordinating professional patient care for all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds. Key duties include direct patient care, medication administration, assessment data collection, and guiding interdisciplinary team members in delivering efficient and quality patient care.
Candidates must possess a current L.P.N. license recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and must have one year of required experience. Required certifications include BLS, and ACLS and PALS must be obtained currently or within six months of hire.
The purpose of this position is to provide general nursing care and leadership, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. The L.P.N. will promote and restore patients’ health by implementing, delegating, evaluating, documenting, and coordinating professional patient care through the use of the nursing process for patients of all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds, and by providing physical and psycho-social support to patients, friends, and families.
The L.P.N. will plan for the provision of patient care by implementing the plan of care to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care, with oversight of other personnel, including but not limited to Certified Nursing Assistants.
The L.P.N. must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care and is expected to adhere to and abide by the facility's policies and the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS REQUIRED: Current L.P.N. license recognized and in good standing with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing BLS ACLS – Current or within 6 months of hire PALS – Current or within 6 months of hire Able to make decisions under pressure. Able to handle multiple priorities EXPERIENCE: One year required RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION: This position may have access to patient confidential records and must comply with HIPAA regulations and Cleveland Area Hospital Policies.
