• Founded in 1982 as Joliet Area Community Hospice, Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness is an independent, non-profit healthcare provider licensed in 11 counties in Illinois.
• We have a state-of-the-art facility and the first free standing hospice inpatient unit in Illinois.
• We have a 35-year history for providing compassionate professional care to terminally ill patients and their families.
• We are state-licensed and Medicare/Medicaid certified.
• We are currently seeking a Resource RN to support our patients as well as referrals in the Northern counties of Illinois, primarily Northern Cook and Lake.
• This is a full-time, salaried position comprised of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week including every other weekend.
• Resource RN's are responsible for providing skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in patients' homes, nursing homes or long-term care facilities.
• This includes administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and plan of care.
• Additionally, this role will support growth in the North territories by assisting with admissions.
• Requirements include RN licensure with a minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in home health, critical care or long-term care, although hospice experience is preferred.
• Candidate must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
